Translation

For over 27 years MAart Agency has been supporting its global clients in effective, accurate and professional communication with local markets.

We offer all types of translation amd related services :

  • Standard Translation – standard translation does not require certification by a certified (sworn) translator. The standard unit for translation in Poland is a target page (1,500 characters, including spaces). This standard page count has been popularised in Europe by the European Union institutions.
  • Localisation, multilingual web content translation, multilingual translation projects with English or another language that is not Polish as the pivot language - the standard unit for localisation and related multilingual projects is a source EN word and such multilingual projects are typically quoted in EUR.
  • Certified (Sworn) Translation – this type of translation requires certification by a certified (sworn) translator. Court translation is estimated on the basis of a 1125 character standard target page (including spaces). In this case, the standard page, as well as many other terms of service are based on State regulations. It is noteworthy, that under the relevant Polish regulations certified (sworn) translators registered in Poland are required to translate only from or into Polish (in other words, even translation ultimately done from one foreign language into another has to be done through Polish).
  • Revision – revision is a service that involves detailed comparison of source and the translated target text by a competent and qualified reviser in order to ensure accurate and high quality translation (this QA measure is based on the so called two sets of eyes principle and conforms to the ISO 17100 requirements).
  • Review – review is an additional service that involves detailed analysis of the translated target text by a competent and qualified reviewer in order to ensure accurate and high quality fit-for-purpose content. This QA measure is aimed at ensuring that texts intended for publication or other special purpose (e.g. sensitive, highly scientific etc.) undergo additional review by a linguistic and/or subject matter specialist. This service conforms to the ISO 17100 requirements.
  • Transcreation - transcreation involves a creative approach to the translated target text in order to ensure high quality fit-for-purpose marketing, literary, artistic or other creative content. This sort of translation is aimed at producing promotional or literary content intended for publication or other special purpose (e.g. advertising campaigns, public communication etc.) and usually involves detailed specifications and close co-operation with the client in order to get the message exactly right.
