MAart Agency has been known for many years for the high quality of its translations and systematic approach to quality as an integral element throughout all of the company's operations. The Quality Manager of MAart controls all departments, procedures and business processes. Each year the quality systems are audited within the framework of a certification performed by an independent international certifying body.
MAart Agency was the first translation company in Poland to obtain certification testifying to the implementation of PN-EN 15038, specialised European translation quality standard with respect to its translation, localisation and project management processes and services. PN-EN 15038 is the first standard that applies exclusively to the translation market. This standard defines the criteria by which high quality services are performed by suppliers of translation and related services. It concerns not only the process of translation itself, but also all other aspects of this service such as quality assurance through revision by another translator, editing, standardisation and automation of processes for managing terminology databases and TM, IT systems and CAT tools, data storage and project management. The fist certification audit of MAart Agency with respect to PN-EN 15038 standard was carried out on March 16, 2007 by Bureau Veritas Certification.
The Polish text of the European standard EN 15038 was prepared and approved by the Polish Normalisation Committee (PKN) in co-operation with the Polish Association of Translation Agencies (PSBT) and published on October 9, 2006. Representatives of MAart, a founding member of the PSBT, translated the standard, developed the scheme and guidelines necessary for the launch of the auditing process and conducted auditor trainings. The PN-EN 15038 certification is complementary to the ISO 9001 certification, which MAart has possessed since 2004.
The ISO 9001 standard is a collection of principles, guidelines and requirements approved by a recognized standardisation body, whose goal is to standardise each field certified in an optimal manner.
The abbreviation ISO stands for the International Organization for Standardization. The ISO 9001 certificate is proof that the quality system of an organisation has been audited by an independent organisation in order to fulfil the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
The ISO 9001 certificate confirms that MAart Agency provides services of the highest quality and that the needs of the client and their opinions concerning the company's operations are of particular importance for MAart Agency.
