MAart Agency takes this opportunity to express their appreciation for all translators and interpreters, and wishes them all the best, perseverance, and professional successes.

International Translation Day is celebrated on 30 September on the feast of St. Jerome, translator of the Bible (Vulgata) who is considered the patron saint of all translators. The celebrations have been promoted by FIT - IFT (Fédération internationale des traducteurs/International Federation of Translators) since 1953. It is a great opportunity to display solidarity with translators across the globe, and promote the translation profession and industry.

In May 2017 the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted Resolution A/RES/71/288, recognizing the role of professional translation in connecting nations, and fostering peace, understanding and development. In the same resolution, the UN General Assembly declared 30 September to be UN International Translation Day.
